T2 overall was not that bad, but compared to Tribes: Insomniax it was teh suck.

 

PlanetSide is not an RPG so it's unfair to try and compare it to an RPG. PlanetSide is an FPS, and I can name 1000 FPS games that i can jump in and be effective for my team, without shelling out $12.99 a month to do it.

PlanetSide is fun, but there really is nothing other then the monthly bill to make it stand out vs other fps games.

It's sad, but I proabbly will not be playing it after all.

 

Thats the same with me. I can't AFFORD it!! If i could, i might play it. The reason i play BF42 and Desert Combat is because it is FREE and still FUN!! Like T2!!

I agree with you Great Dane.....PS is not a RPG so it is really hard to compare it with PS as a FPS. The reason why I feel its much better and compair it to other RPG's is because its massive level of players compaired to regular FPS's. I like FPS's like BF1942 alot but you can't get anywhere near the player level they are expecting with PS. The only thing that does compair is MMORPG's. So its the only reason why I compair the two .

But thats the whole purpose of the game, To go above and beyond all exsisting FPS's with player level and Cooperation. You have the same mass cooperation in RPG's like EQ but like my example they do not carry the same abilities as PS. The main reason Im willing to pay the $12.95 a month is the player level and mass coordination of ranks of people against other ranks of people and being able to play with all of them no matter my rank . Just the excessive fun of playing against that many people is the reason to pay.
