Damn that is a lot of money to blow. I bet DK watches people blow their life savings everyday and turn into bums or something. How do you deal with it? Doesn't it bother you to watch those people ruin themselves? It isn't your fault but still just to watch them do that must be amazing.

In the beggining it was hard...To see people lose and lose. And so few won. I had good supervisors and managers explain to me that the Casinos dont force people to sit down...We dont force them to buy in. It is a individuals decision to do these actions.

In a way to be successful you must seperate yourself from your work. You still care and see what happens to people...But understand that is their choice.

I bartended for a short while during the middle of my career and I treat it the same way. A great number of the casino members have great morals and do care. They are operating a buisness and that is the way it is looked at.

Just like drinking,drug use or any other vice a person has..It is thier choice to know the difference and make the decision that will dictate how thier life will go.....

Intresting... very intresting

I like this a lot. I get to talk to a few people I haven't seen in a while. Almost feels like I'm coming back to an old comforting feeling.

You know my daughter has figured out how to turn off the computer when she wants to play with me. It's about the most heart warming feeling.

You guys gotta have kids and try this stuff out. It is most rewarding!

 

My gf has a 1 year old son and he's the cutest little guy. One of these days i want to have a kid of my own. I think it would be cool to have a little dane running around.

We'd be just like Scooby and Scrappy. They were Great Danes too you know

 

If you have a kid it will be a female and she will be just like her mother Then again if you do have a boy would you name him Scrappy?

 

If I had a baby girl with my gf (Tracy) and she turned out just like her mother that would be fine. If I had a boy what else would i name him besides Scrappy?

Lol, I have to visit vegas one of these days. Not sure if I could gamble though. I can play cards but I never really gamble in a casino. Just quarters and dollars back here. Been to the casino boats on the river but I just play video poker all night. For some reason I can make a $20.00 last for hours. Although I never come out ahead. Last time I was ahead $70.00 at one time then I started betting 5 quarters a hand and was back down to $10.00 and then back up to $50.00 then back down till I was all out.

Just can't get into the idea of losing a couple hundred when I coupld spend it on gear for the pc or outdoor stuff.

Alekzander has the best attitude towards gambling. If you look at it as just entertainment its fine. Just like a night out on the town where you would spend $50.00 to $100.00 is fine. It is when people like MTX described coming in with thier paychecks and money they shouldnt spend is when it becomes a problem.

We do have morals...Those who work at casinos. We are not blood thirsty scoundrels who want everybodys money. There are programs to help those addicted to gambling...Where I work we have banned 6 people from coming in for this reason. These people put in the request to not be allowed in. The management also went with this to try to get these peole help.

Well.... I'm not really a big fan of casinos either. It's not legal for me to go to one in the first place, but I have no desire to. I was fishing out in north dakota by this indian reservation. I had to take a shit really, really bad...so we went into town. There were no lights on, nobody on the street, nobody anywhere. We went to the grocery store, the only person in there was the checker. We drove past the casino, and there were like 300 cars. Almost every single person in town must have been in there...The guide person said, that they are ALWAYS in there, spending their money....

I love to gamble. I just have a really good time doing it. I never expect to win, but sometimes I do. Most times i don't.

The best thing i was ever tuaght about gambling is "never take more then you can afford to lose". So when I take a trip to Reno and i bring $500 I don't plan on coming home with any of it. The nice thing about this philociphy is that I have already written the money out of my budget so if I come home with some of it I feel like a winner
