Wow. STILL going i see..

Oh I'm comming back.. just.. well have a life now. heh Yep Timo the Observer now has 2 careers to juggle around.
Time for gaming is at an all-time low if i am to be financially stable enough to retire when i want to ( god i never believed i'd say that so soon) and games i have fallen dreadfully far behind.
Tribes i kind of still play but i play Wolfenstein:ET now mostly. I never could get into Planetside enough to be a paying member for it ..

It's great to see as many names as i do see here.. some i remember some have changed their nicks but probably are well known to me as such..

TWL wow.. now that takes me far too far back.. OGL was the pits but TWL i managed to find time for.

I have Battlefield 1942 now.. and Return to castle wolfenstein.. I'd play BF2 but i just do not have resources enough to get the upgrade i'd need to play it smoothly.. so it will have to wait.

The bug always seems to bite and draw me back to the forum here occasionally.. and it still makes me tear up when i watch some old demos i recorded.. some of friends who have been taken away from us VIA 911 as well as illnesses ( i still have a few Valin Tribes 1 recordings by the way, one i believe is a KSA vs CDL match)

I DO, to be bluntly honest, sometimes try to see exactly how my entire structure for online gaming may have changed if i just agreed with desperadoAV and went with HIM to CDL and not (k) A.K.A {KSA}.

Y'all always made me feel like more of a family than they did over in KSA most times.. and i sadly chose poorly when the dissolvement of the CDL-KSA alliance finally deteriorated.


Anyhow I digress.. i WAS for some strange reason seeing if Valin's memoriam site was still up. I am about to lose another person to illness online through tribes.. This marking my 23rd person to date Via Tribes.
It is also one reason I decided to delete it 3 hours ago..

NOW, i venture forth and decide to possibly re-aquaint myself with old schoolers with whom i have neglected.

 

Yes Marsman i remember u from Tribes.. i thought u just got in CDL when i made my way from IX.
as for the Valin demos.. I'll start rummaging thru my CD's immediately. Gonna need to reinstall Tribes to make sure i got the right ones.. but that's not even a problem.

Planetside aahh yes.. the Lovely game where u wait 20 mins for a transport only to die in the 1st 5 seconds once u land.. then another wait.

Back then when i beta'd all it WAS, was waiting waiting waiting. I'm impatient and ADHD so 'waiting' is not possible for me. heh

I must visit more often i agree. I have been remiss with regards to my online bretheren, I regret that when you guys went to Tribes2 and Planetside from Tribes, i knew the connections would ultimately be strained, if not lost.

I do wish to mingle with your ilk again..however i need to know some of the games you guys play other than Planetside and BF2.. I'm game to aquire such games, but only see the two you have stated.

It's funny to look at your roster and see like 6 or 7 members still there from when I remember CDL..

Who'd have thought you'd last SO freaking LONG!!! ( again bad choice to stay in KSA.. we all remember how they'changed' with regards to egos.. no need to say forum-wise.. we all know) I should find you guys somewhere and see about re-linking up.
I still even remember Mani's WebCam.. aahh those were the days..

Oh before i forget.. the demos with valin are from MY POV.. it was a match/scrim, people like Bio,H0mi,Mani,Rubick,Valin,Mossimo,Element, hhmm who else can i remember...I'd never forget Doomhawk or DesperadoAV, but they were not present for these demos for whatever reason...

Heck i still have MANY of u on my ICQ list.. fire me over some games u guys play.. not necessarily as a CDL mind u.. just some medium in which i can start to reaquaint myself again with you guys..

all i can say for now is... awesome!

 

Indeed it is a testament to the sobriety within the CDL conglomerate that shows what true bonds can be created through a simple entertainment medium.

What can i say other than that? what's it been 5 mebee 6 years now?
My old [|PIT|]Crew clan lasted only 5 and we died out in 2003 basically..
tho we still , as Members with tags, play a vast array of games these days if u see a tag as such as u see above, then know it is MY clans tag , say hi. could even be me.

IVAN.. ok now it makes sense...i recall that Name being uttered alot.. even saw it in my e-mail reply thread for here..

 

That DnD one looks interesting.. but my credo is still the same * if i buy a game for 80$ i have NO intention on spending 20-30$ a month simply to play it.*
so don't expect me in most of those games.
I WILL buy any game, but none that requires monthly fees to play..

I need to find a link to that DnD one.. if it means Dungeons n Dragons.
Is planetside still a pay to play?, if not i would certainly love to return there..

NHL2004 ( cause 2005 and 2006 SUCK in dynasty mode)
RTCW
BF1942
Runescape ( hehe yes this lil game is fun still)
Neverwinter Nights ( well not yet , my PlayCD is scratched and need a new one.. but i am an NPC on someone's server right now.)

and a few other games i just bought, maybe out of date, but still have just in case.
